  7. A PC-AT based modular multiplexor that can support the following
  8. configurations: 1) 8 RS-232C serial ports controlled by 2 microprocessors with
  9. 128K bytes of memory; 2) 16 RS-232C serial ports controlled by 4
  10. microprocessors with 256K bytes of memory; or 3) 8 RS-232C serial ports and 2
  11. Centronics parallel output ports controlled by 2 microprocessors with 128K
  12. bytes of memory. The external chassis is connected to a PC-AT adapter card via
  13. a 4' cable. Only on PC-AT I/O slot and one IRQ line is required. The cable
  14. also provides the DC power to the external chassis. Up to 4 C1600 multiplexors
  15. can be supported on a single high-performance PC-AT to provide up to 64 serial
  16. I/O ports. RJ45 modular jacks are provided for all serial device connections
  17. and the EIA DB25S connectors are provided for Centronics parallel printer
  18. connections. Baud rates up to 38,400 can be sustained on all serial ports.
  19. MS-DOS, SCO XENIX, SCO UNIX and AT&T UNIX device drivers are available. This
  20. product incorporates the CTC Systems' Gemini-1000 and/or the Gemini-1020.
